About Every Day Crochet

Welcome to Every Day Crochet!

I learned the basic knit and crochet stitches as a child but never really did anything with it. The things I saw others crochet seemed much too complicated and intricate to me, so I never pursued it further. Little did I know that I could do simple, yet very pretty things, well within my level of expertise!

I started to crochet afghans and baby blankets probably 10 yrs ago and couldn't count the number of articles I've finished. I've never been able to master a simple granny square, so I tend to stick with the 'back and forth' patterns that don't require joining. I prefer to vary the colors and width of stripes, etc, to bring more detail to my projects.

I've sold a few things, but most of my crochet projects have been for gifts or donations. Since I'm a retired jarhead myself, Marines and veterans in general have a special place in my heart and I will be donating afghans and lapghans to my local VA hospital. I'll be posting photos of projects I've completed recently that will be donated soon.

Please drop me a line and let me know what you'd like to see here - if you have a favorite pattern to share, a website with tips, or if you'd like to be a featured crocheter. I want this blogging project to be fun and informative for crafters of all levels.

Until next time ...

I really like your crochet patterns for they are simple like I enjoy doing. Planning to make your quick scarf you did in green. The doll clothes are wonderful!
