Meet Christine

Hello Everyone!

I’ll be featuring different crafters that have a love of crochet and filling the debut spot on Every Day Crochet is Christine, a new friend I met on Crochetville (otherwise known as the ‘ville).

Christine learned to crochet at the tender age of 7 as a result of bugging her mother while she crocheted. She loves to crochet baby clothes and has also been busy working on patterns for Christmas gifts for her children (four sons, 19, 15, 14 and 12, and four stepchildren, 17, twin girls almost 17 and 14). Some of the things she is working on are rhino slippers, a Gir, hats and scarves. I can’t wait to see photos of what she comes up with.

While browsing Christine’s blog I found this cute little gal.

Isn’t she a peach?

Christine is a self-proclaimed ‘geek’ and is employed in computer and network technical support for a small/medium sized business with 24 others – all men. Bless you, Christine!

Since she obviously doesn’t get enough of computers at work, Christine enjoys building websites in her spare time that isn’t spent with a crochet hook in hand. She created and operates ChrisCrossCrafts, an online store that boasts a variety of craft items for sale as well as patterns, tips and hints for fellow crafters. Make sure to stop by and take a look at her wares.

Here is the first draft of a pattern for a baby romper that Christine created. It's stunning as is, and I hope she'll share the final product she was working up in a true black and white harlequin pattern.

Christine, thanks so much for being my ‘test model’ as featured crochet artist of the day. I’m anxious to see more of your crochet projects and patterns as they are developed.
