Small Blessings

I've just bought a home and getting to this point has been a bit nightmarish, but I'm finally moving in - hurray!

Moving is going to be a slow and tedious process, but I got a nice surprise when moving some things from the old house - look what I found under the bed!

I now have TV, internet and phone hooked up, a new computer desk, a coffee pot and microwave, and now a box of yarn and crochet hooks that I had forgotten about from more than a year ago - what more does a woman need?

  3. LOL, moving's a hassle even if it isn't a nightmare, but it looks like you've received a small reward for your trouble. The colors are beautiful. Looking forward to seeing what you make with them.

  7. You gave yourself a very nice HouseWarming gift when you found the yarn and hooks.

    What size do you make the lapghans for vets in the hospital? I just volunteered to crochet some lapghans for a group that my SIL is in locally. They will take to the veteran's hospital in this area. But she did not know how large to make them.

    Also, do you think that round ripples would be good for their use?

    And one last thing . . . Thank You for the service you gave to our nation for so long.
    My hubby was in for just over 17 years when the Graham-Rudman (sp ?) act got him. He was "too fat" to serve in the Navy, bit was not "obese" so he did not qualify for help to lose the weight. So he got no bennies because they released him, rather than retire him. It has been a struggle for these last 20 years, but we are pretty happy with our life now.

    ~~~hugs~~~
  9. My daughter would drool over all of that yarn. She doesn't crochet much (just chains) but for some reason the kid is always asking me to buy her yarn!
