Yellow Hat and Yarmulke

Wow, one more day to the A-Z Blogging Challenge.  I can't believe I was able to get this far with all four blogs! It's been challenging for sure.

Since we're into spring and summer will be soon to follow, I thought I'd look for free pattern for a sunny yellow hat that would be appropriate for the season.  I found this sunhat at Sugar'n Cream that I thought fit the bill nicely (no pun intended).  The cotton yarn will keep it from being too hot and the brim is wide enough to help shade the sun from your eyes as you're tending to your garden or cheering for the kids' soccer team.

Another Y that came to mind is the yarmulke.  You could probably start off with your favorite hat pattern and crochet just past the flat portion that makes the skullcap and then add a few rows, but I found this free Crocheted Yarmulke Pattern that looks easy to do.

That's the extent of my ability to come up with crochet projects for Y-day.  I'll be glad when tomorrow is over!

  1. I love the yellow hat. That one is so cute I just may have to finally attempt somthing beyond scarves and blankets (I did make one pair of slippers).

I’m A-Z Blogging and my “Y” post is right here.
