Baby Blanket in Poodle Skirt Colors

This week's project has been a baby blanket. I've had 3-4 different online friends request custom orders for crochet blankets and throws in the last week or so and it's definitely been keeping me busy.

The baby blanket I'm working on now is pink, black and white.  I don't know why, but those colors remind me of a poodle skirt, and it's been fun to make.  It's finished now except for working in the ends, but here's a picture showing where I was at on Sunday.

Poodle skirt colors!

My next project, another blanket (more solid granny squares sewn together) will be in light purple and pink.  Can't wait!

To play along on Work-in-Progress Wednesday, make your blog post for Wednesday be about something you're working on - some type of craft, renovation project, landscaping, even that novel you're writing. You can play along even if it’s not Wednesday; I leave each WIP up until the following week. Copy the code below Rosie's picture and paste it into your blog post so that others can follow too, and see the rest of the projects that are posted here.

Make sure to click 'You are next' below to add your link here so my readers can follow it to your blog post.

Note ** Several of you are signing up at the bottom but you’re not putting the WIP Wednesday link on your own blog. If you don’t, your readers won’t be led back here to see what others are doing and what WIP Wednesday is all about. It’s not hard, just copy the code beneath the photo above and paste it into your blog post. If you’re having trouble, please let me know and I’ll try to walk you through it.

  3. Marie Anne, after a long sabbatical, I reentered the blogosphere a few days ago and am slowly becoming reacquainted with my old haunts, yours among them. LOVE this blanket. I learned last year via YouTube films to begin crocheting. Granny squares are my hands-down favorite. I like the spacing in this blanket, the "small holes." Could you tell this novice what weight category yarn and hook size you used?

  4. Hi Caroline! Good to see you back at the keyboard.

This blanket is done with regular ol' Red Heart worsted weight yarn and I believe I used a size H crochet hook.
