Knit Spa Cloths and a Secret Preview

This week I'm working on getting the spa cloths done that were part of the giveaway that ended the other day.  Linda Ann chose her cloths to be knit out of a pretty variegated cotton yarn in various shades of olive green and ecru, with a touch of teal thrown in.

I didn't get as much done as I'd hoped (knitting takes sooo much longer than crocheting), but I'm going to try to get both done before the week is out so I can send her prize off to her.

see how the color starts out

I've also finished a crochet baby blanket that I'm really proud of, but I never showcased it on WIP earlier, so I'm just going to tease you with partial photos and then feature the real deal when I get the ends worked in.

This is one of my favorite pieces I've crocheted because I tried something a little different and I love the effect.   Nope, you don't get to see the whole finished project until later!

What's in your WIP basket this week?

To play along on Work-in-Progress Wednesday, make your blog post for Wednesday be about something you're working on - some type of craft, renovation project, landscaping, even that novel you're writing. You can play along even if it’s not Wednesday; I leave each WIP up until the following week. Copy the code below Rosie's picture and paste it into your blog post so that others can follow too, and see the rest of the projects that are posted here.

Make sure to click 'You are next' below to add your link here so my readers can follow it to your blog post.

Note ** Several of you are signing up at the bottom but you’re not putting the WIP Wednesday link on your own blog. If you don’t, your readers won’t be led back here to see what others are doing and what WIP Wednesday is all about. It’s not hard, just copy the code beneath the photo above and paste it into your blog post. If you’re having trouble, please let me know and I’ll try to walk you through it.

  1. I have been working a lot with cotton yarn lately, mostly crochet though. I did teach myself to knit the diagonal dishcloth of a Bernat packaging. Your pattern looks wonderful...is it hard to do? Also, what is the brand of cotton yarn? I have only purchased the small skeins.

Your afghan is beautiful...what you have teased us with...lol....I always loved the granny square effect but the center really peaked my interest...with be glad so the full pictured.

I have started a blog myself but I mostly crochet for charity, specifically Bridge and Beyond because its in the city where I live. I am also very slow at what I do. But its better late then never as I always say. I want to enjoy the process.

I look forward to seeing more of your projects. Take Care

  3. I have no idea why the linky isn't showing up but I've checked everything a half dozen times and the code looks correct, so perhaps it's a glitch and will show up later. Sorry everyone!
