WIP Wednesday - Windsor Blue Granny Square Afghan

For last week's WIP Wednesday, I posted a pic of the squares I'm making for my latest afghan, and thought I'd show how the squares look as I'm starting to put a few together with the flat braid join method.

It's just a simple granny square with the circle in the middle in Windsor Blue, followed by a row of Aran, two rows of Black, then finished with one row of Windsor Blue.  By joining with the same color as the last single row, it looks like there are two rows of that color.

Oops, how'd he get in the shot?

The little gray fella is Reggie, one of the kittens dropped off by a semi-feral mama cat that knew she couldn't feed them any longer.  I ended up bottle feeding Reggie and his three litter-mates until they could eat solid foods.  You can see them all as mere babes here.

So ... what are you working on?

To play along on Work-in-Progress Wednesday, make your blog post for Wednesday be about something you're working on - some type of craft, renovation project, landscaping, even that novel you're writing. Copy the code below Rosie's picture and paste it into your blog post so that others can follow too, and see the rest of the projects that are posted here.

Make sure to click 'You are next' below to add your name so others can follow it to your blog post.

** Note ** Several of you are signing up at the bottom but you’re not putting the WIP Wednesday link on your own blog. If you don’t, your readers won’t be led back here to see what others are doing and hear what WIP Wednesday is all about. It’s not hard, just copy the code beneath the photo above and paste it into your blog post. If you’re having trouble, please let me know and I’ll try to walk you through it.

  1. Those are beautiful colors in that afghan. Are you using Red Heart yarn?

  2. These squares are lovely! Never thought of making a black/blue one, but it looks great! Perhaps you would like to join my link party? It's there every Saturday. Hope to see you there!
    Bye!
