Donated Squares

This week I was a pattern tester for a new granny square pattern.  I enjoyed the pattern and decided to haul out my stash of small balls of yarn and put them to good use.

A small sampling of what I started with

I ended up with 14 granny squares to donate to Bridge and Beyond and sent them off yesterday.

The pattern was a 6" square and I didn't realize until I was done that Sandy preferred the squares to be 7" or larger.  Oops.  I pulled them out and added another DC border around them and called it good.

I also worked on the blog design a bit this week.  You can see across the top that I've added new pages for free knit and crochet patterns, as well as links to various crochet related tips and tutorials.  All of my own free patterns are collected there, and if you patterns of your own that you'd like me to link to, click on that page to drop me an email.

Since I missed a WIP or two, feel free to link any of your blog posts below that should have been linked in previous weeks.

To play along on Work-in-Progress Wednesday, make your blog post for Wednesday be about something you're working on - some type of craft, renovation project, landscaping, even that novel you're writing. You can play along even if it’s not Wednesday; I leave each WIP up until the following week. Copy the code below Rosie's picture and paste it into your blog post so that others can follow too, and see the rest of the projects that are posted here.

Make sure to click 'You are next' below to add your link so my readers can follow it to your blog post.

  1. Love the squares, very pretty pattern and all the different colors make them even more interesting. Will sing out later today when my friendly postman arrives.

The WIP thing sounds fun too, hopefully after I get a few necessary things done here at the house, I can come back and participate in that.

  2. I'm so glad to see you back!!

Are you going to pay the $24 for Mr. Linky? I am lost there as I just don't have the $24 right now to spare. I do just one linky on Tuesdays for giveaways, but would love to add more. Do you know of any other linky things that are still free?

  3. I was looking at all of my leftover yarn and thinking of what to do with them. Then I discovered that my youngest daughter was pregnant again, so now I have another afghan to crochet.
