Who's Your Favorite Granny?

I'm hoping to design more simple granny square patterns and need input from the masses.  Do you  like granny squares with lots of color changes, a single color, or somewhere in between?

What size granny square do you prefer?  Do you like the smaller 6" squares that take a lot of work to join, or would you rather work with a 10" or 12" square that will take fewer to make a blanket or afghan?
