I'm doing the
A-Z Blogging Challenge with all four of my blogs and while I know I won't post to all of them every day, I wanted to start things off right and make it so at least on day one. I was able to come up with topics for my other three blogs (see right sidebar), but was at a loss as to what to write about for my crochet blog that begins with A.
Well a great big DUH moment for Marie Anne. I have it all around me ... Afghans!
Since it's late in the day and I don't want to spend a lot of time on this, I'm simply going to post photos of a few of the afghans that I've completed.

Stack of afghans, some donate to the VA Hospital |

Simple ripple afghan donated to a veteran |

Afghan gifted to a friend (her husband likes it, as you can see)

Somewhat lacy white afghan (for sale)

Multi-color granny, one of my favorites (for sale) |
Those large afghans must take you weeks to do!
ReplyDeleteI love the multi-color granny one! :)
ReplyDeleteThose are all very nice. Wish I could make stuff like that but I couldn't even sew a straight line using a sewing machine. That last one is my favorite too.
ReplyDeleteNice work! I love the lacy one and multi-color ones.
ReplyDeleteLove making them but haven't in a few years. Great start to challenge.
ReplyDeleteLove them all!!! It's fun to peek through that stack and see some fun colors and stitches. =)
ReplyDeleteThese are all beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteWhen my mother in law was in the hospital once they told her she wasn't going to make it. She only had hours left, they said. Later (after she survived) she told me the first thing that popped in her head was that she couldn't die because she had to finish my daughter's afghan! And she did finish it. She passed away 8 years ago, but every time I look at that afghan I think of that story.
ReplyDeleteYour afghans are beautiful. I am so glad you displayed some of them. I like to crochet afghans too. I have become a follower. Great post.
ReplyDeleteThose are gorgeous. I can't seem to pick up yarn arts, my dyslexia makes me get turned around so easily!
ReplyDeleteWow - that multicolor granny is stunning! I always love when black is used to make the colors pop on granny square items.
