Baby Round Ripple Coming Along Nicely

I posted last week that I was working on a round ripple baby blanket pattern that I'm testing for someone.  I didn't think the points were pointy enough, so I decided to start another one, paying extra special attention to the pattern to see if it would look different.

Well here's both of them.

Which twin has the Toni?
The one on the left is piece I did last week, the one with the tail on the right is the second attempt.  They look the same to me.

I knew I had the pattern right the second go 'round, so I decided to keep going and see what happened.  As it turns out, the points got a little more pointy after each subsequent round worked, and I think it's going to turn out ok after all.

We have points!
I've done several more rounds since I took this photo the other night and it's still working out well.  The only complaint I have is that it bunches up some and doesn't stay flat.  I had to tug and flatten a bit to get that photo, but I'm sure after it's finished and washed it'll be fine.  I've seen other baby round ripple patterns but haven't done one before now.  I think the finished product is going to be very pretty and I'll be using this pattern often.

What're you working on this week?

To play along on Work-in-Progress Wednesday, make your blog post for Wednesday be about something you're working on - some type of craft, renovation project, landscaping, even that novel you're writing. You can play along even if it’s not Wednesday; I leave each WIP up until the following week. Copy the code below Rosie's picture and paste it into your blog post so that others can follow too, and see the rest of the projects that are posted here.

  3. Love the colors and the way it is looking! Mine rarely lay totally flat in the center for some reason. They seem to ripple a bit.
