Baby Yarn - Yuck

No fancy pics for me today.  I'm still working on the pocket scarf I mentioned last week, but had to take time out for writing and projects around the house (more surprise floor damage - will it ever end?).  The scarf doesn't look much different than it did last week.

I'm also trying to work on another project, but may have to get more yarn.  I usually use worsted weight for my baby blankets, but liked the colors and softness of Bernat Baby that I found, so grabbed some of that to try out.  Meh.  I don't like working with the thinner yarn, and while it's softer, I don't think it's nearly as warm.  Spent a good while yesterday looking at patterns that are designed specifically for the lighter weight yarn for baby blankets and came away disappointed.

I think it'll be back to worsted weight for me.  I can always use this yarn to whip up some hats for preemies or something.  I know the softer yarn is suited for that purpose.

To play along on Work-in-Progress Wednesday, make your blog post for Wednesday be about something you're working on - some type of craft, renovation project, landscaping, even that novel you're writing. You can play along even if it’s not Wednesday; I leave each WIP up until the following week. Copy the code below Rosie's picture and paste it into your blog post so that others can follow too, and see the rest of the projects that are posted here.

Make sure to click 'You are next' below to add your link here so my readers can follow it to your blog post.
Note ** Several of you are signing up at the bottom but you’re not putting the WIP Wednesday link on your own blog. If you don’t, your readers won’t be led back here to see what others are doing and what WIP Wednesday is all about. It’s not hard, just copy the code beneath the photo above and paste it into your blog post. If you’re having trouble, please let me know and I’ll try to walk you through it.

  3. Hi Marie Anne---nice to be linking up again this week. So many things to get done--or even started and so little time.
