A Knitting We Will Go

Worked on more dishcloths this week and will probably keep going with that a while to get more listed on Etsy.  I didn't crochet any hats and scarves to list this year, but I did send a bundle off to Sandy at Bridge and Beyond to help keep some folks warm up her way.  Now that I've picked up knitting needles again, I'll probably look at simple patterns to knit to break up the monotony of crochet.

I bought more knitting needles as well as a bag of stitch markers and holders so that I can try my hand at cables again.  My biggest present to myself was The Ultimate Sourcebook of Knitting and Crochet Stitches

I've spent quite a bit of time already looking through it and know that the pages of this book will get a lot of wear.  Merry Christmas to me!

If you knit and/or crochet, you can't go wrong with this book.  You can read the reviews or order the book by clicking the link above the photo.

Wishing a very Merry Christmas to my friends and faithful readers, and I pray your holiday is a safe one.  See you soon!

To play along on Work-in-Progress Wednesday, make your blog post for Wednesday be about something you're working on - some type of craft, renovation project, landscaping, even that novel you're writing. You can play along even if it’s not Wednesday; I leave each WIP up until the following week. Copy the code below Rosie's picture and paste it into your blog post so that others can follow too, and see the rest of the projects that are posted here.
Make sure to click 'You are next' below to add your link here so my readers can follow it to your blog post.

Note ** Several of you are signing up at the bottom but you’re not putting the WIP Wednesday link on your own blog. If you don’t, your readers won’t be led back here to see what others are doing and what WIP Wednesday is all about. It’s not hard, just copy the code beneath the photo above and paste it into your blog post. If you’re having trouble, please let me know and I’ll try to walk you through it.

  1. Looks like a great book. I recently rec'd The Embroider Workshop for review. I have it reviewed on my blog. I was going to give it as a gift but as I looked through it for review I've decided to keep it for myself!
I am having trouble with this My Little Pony pattern. First of all it calls for double crochet but after making so many washcloths using half doubles, I made 2 of the parts with half double before realizing, so have used it throughout.
But, how do you crochet 2 together?? The only way I know to decrease like that is to skip a stitch, which is what I am doing. Wish me luck on getting this made in the next couple of days and that it will look decent enough for the gift.
