Doesn't everyone need a cell phone cover?
I didn't make a buttonhole, so sorta forced it through the stitches to get it closed, but I can allow for that on my next attempt.
I do, because the one I had before doesn't fit the new cell phone I got a few months ago. Rather than buy another one, I grabbed a crochet hook and some scrap yarn to see if I could whip something up.
It's my first attempt so still in the prototype stages, but I think I can make something out of it. Once I tweak it a bit, I'll probably list some for sale on Etsy, and can customize to fit the size of the individual buyer's cell phone.

Next order of business will be to crochet covers for tablets and eReaders, so all of you Nook and Kindle enthusiasts who love to read eBooks, keep an eye out for something along those lines soon.
Oh, that's nifty. I like it.
ReplyDeleteadds protection in a beautiful way...
ReplyDeleteThat's right. Good protection for mobile phones and it's very stylish and fashionable.
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love this!
ReplyDeleteThe clusters look nice. What kind of yarn is used to make this? Love the blue and I am sure the texture would be lovely.
ReplyDeleteIt's regular ol' Red Heart acrylic worsted, not sure of the color (they changed blues a couple of times).
ReplyDeleteThe stitch is just a SC and DC in one space, sk 1, SC/DC in same sp, repeat.
Now that's how you protect your phone. It looks a little girly though, is there a male alternative?
ReplyDeleteI can make them in any color and yes, a more plain stitch.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely LOVE it!! so pretty!!
ReplyDeleteThat is what happens when we make something with our hands. Nice and functional piece.
