When attaching a new skein of yarn for your knit or crochet project, do you have trouble making a sturdy join that looks good?
I stumbled upon the Russian join method of attaching two pieces of yarn some time ago and it is my favorite way to join two sections of yarn of the same color. I have no idea where it originated, but I can't claim the idea as my own.

When attaching two different colors, such as at the end of a row, I use a different method of joining. It's on my to-do list to take photos of the second method (which can also be used for two pieces of the same color) and publish that as well. Stay tuned!
