Rectangle Granny Square Pattern for Afghan

*** Sorry for the problems with the link to add your project earlier. I think the linky tool site hiccuped. It should be showing up now, so go ahead and add your WIPs! ***

I wrote up a pattern for a rectangle granny square baby blanket and I'm waiting for it to be published, so in the meantime I figured I'd work on something similar on a larger scale.  This is how far I am as of this morning on the rectangle granny square afghan that I'm playing with.

My rectangle granny is worked in black, aran, linen and light sage.  I like the color combination as it reminds me of when I wore camouflage utilities for so many years while in the Marine Corps.  ; )

Right now it measures approximately 29" x 54" and it is HEAVY!  I'm not sure what the finished dimensions will be but I hope it works out because this would be a lot of frogging if it doesn't!  As always, I'll publish the link to the free pattern when finished.

So ... what're YOU working on?

To play along on Work-in-Progress Wednesday, make your blog post for Wednesday be about something you're working on - some type of craft, renovation project, landscaping, even that novel you're writing. You can play along even if it’s not Wednesday; I leave each WIP up until the following week. Copy the code below Rosie's picture and paste it into your blog post so that others can follow too, and see the rest of the projects that are posted here.

Make sure to click 'You are next' below to add your link here so my readers can follow it to your blog post.

** Note ** Several of you are signing up at the bottom but you’re not putting the WIP Wednesday link on your own blog. If you don’t, your readers won’t be led back here to see what others are doing and what WIP Wednesday is all about. It’s not hard, just copy the code beneath the photo above and paste it into your blog post. If you’re having trouble, please let me know and I’ll try to walk you through it.

  1. I have my WIP Wednesday post done and posted but your "link thingy" that says you are next isn't showing up here for me so I can add my post.

  3. Glad you mentioned the problem with the link - thought it was me!
Love the colors in the baby granny square - it is different than the usual granny square quilts. Can't wait to see your new pattern.
