I much prefer daisy-like wildflowers to roses, so when I came across this
free crochet pattern for a cute Gerbera Daisy, I knew I'd found the perfect post for G-day of the A-Z Blogging Challenge.
The instructions for Gertrude Gerbera state that she is made with cotton yarn - green for the leaves and your choice of color(s) for her flower petals. Gertrude's face (center) is yellow with stitched-on smile and other facial features.
If you give
Gertrude Gerbera a try, I'd love to see pictures of how she turned out.
I'm taking the A-Z Blogging Challenge, where I will post something from each letter of the alphabet on the corresponding day in April, except for Sunday, on at least one if not all four of my blogs. You can see my other blogs in the sidebar - More of Marie Anne.
I love these flowers, they are one of my favourites. These are a beautiful colour. I think I might try the pattern:)
ReplyDeleteI used to crochet, back in the day. Reading your posts (and using your dishcloths) makes me want to pick it back up. It would be so fun to crochet flowers! If you do it, let me know.
ReplyDeleteHmm! Looks interesting. I just might have to try this one.
ReplyDeleteGertrude is adorable... I passed it on to my mother hoping she will take the challenge and crochet me one!
