One of my favorite colors to work with recently has been Red Heart's lavender. I've paired it with several different colors and have come up with some interesting combinations.
I did this toddler-sized blanket with lavender and another shade of purple with white in smaller squares and joined using the flat braid join method. I gave it to a friend whose daughter loves purple.
I'm working on a single granny square baby blanket in lavender, cornmeal and white that I'll list on Etsy when finished.
I recently finished this one with lavender, white and honeydew (another favorite). It is for sale and I'll list it on Etsy as soon as I tie in the ends.
This blanket was crocheted in one large granny square with lavender, cornmeal, honeydew and white and another friend bought it as a gift for her niece for Easter. I think the colors are perfect for spring!
Do you find yourself falling in love with a particular color of yarn and wanting to make many things with it? Do you get sick of it after working on a large project, and never want to see that color again?

Wow! I really like all these color combinations! It's very versatile.
ReplyDeleteLavender, lilac, purple – I love them all in afghans and you've just given me an idea for a new afghan – THANK YOU! By the way, what is your preferred method for joining granny squares?
ReplyDeleteI really like the first one. I’m so glad I found your blog. I’m stopping by from the A to Z challenge and I look forward to reading more from you.
ReplyDeleteLove the colors. The one with the cornmeal color in it reminds me of Easter and spring-time. As far as getting "hooked" on certain colors, not really, I just love to change colors when I'm crocheting, it's kind of like passing a milestone in the projects I do.
ReplyDeleteFantastic colors! :D
ReplyDeleteTalented lady, these are gorgeous color combinations. Let us know when they are listed on Etsy.

Love the colors! I have got to try the flat braid method. Thank you. Some of my squares will thank you as well.
ReplyDeleteLovely work! My granddaughter is into lavender and blue lately. "I'm out of the pink stage," she tells me.
ReplyDeleteMy “L” post is right here: http://www.word-nerd-speaks.com/2011/04/long-long-list.html
love the colors..
ReplyDeletelavender and cornmeal, great combination!
ReplyDeleteFound you via the A to Z challenge- Great to find another crocheter hiding in there!
ReplyDeleteLOVE that joining method. I've only ever used Lucy's from Attic24, or whip stitched them together. I like how it Adds a little Something to the blanket instead of just being a method of joining! I will be marking this to try in the future!
you are doing great keeping up with the challenge!
