Lovely in Lavender

One of my favorite colors to work with recently has been Red Heart's lavender.  I've paired it with several different colors and have come up with some interesting combinations.

I did this toddler-sized blanket with lavender and another shade of purple with white in smaller squares and joined using the flat braid join method.  I gave it to a friend whose daughter loves purple.

I'm working on a single granny square baby blanket in lavender, cornmeal and white that I'll list on Etsy when finished.

I recently finished this one with lavender, white and honeydew (another favorite).  It is for sale and I'll list it on Etsy as soon as I tie in the ends.

This blanket was crocheted in one large granny square with lavender, cornmeal, honeydew and white and another friend bought it as a gift for her niece for Easter.  I think the colors are perfect for spring!

Do you find yourself falling in love with a particular color of yarn and wanting to make many things with it?  Do you get sick of it after working on a large project, and never want to see that color again?

I earn free amazon gift cards by using SwagBucks.  Did you know that you can buy yarn as well as knit and crochet books on amazon.com?

  2. Lavender, lilac, purple – I love them all in afghans and you've just given me an idea for a new afghan – THANK YOU! By the way, what is your preferred method for joining granny squares?

  4. Love the colors. The one with the cornmeal color in it reminds me of Easter and spring-time. As far as getting "hooked" on certain colors, not really, I just love to change colors when I'm crocheting, it's kind of like passing a milestone in the projects I do.

  7. Lovely work! My granddaughter is into lavender and blue lately. "I'm out of the pink stage," she tells me.

  9. Found you via the A to Z challenge- Great to find another crocheter hiding in there!

LOVE that joining method. I've only ever used Lucy's from Attic24, or whip stitched them together. I like how it Adds a little Something to the blanket instead of just being a method of joining! I will be marking this to try in the future!
