I just came home from what I thought was going to be a quick trip to the VA for a fasting blood test. I remembered that a lot of folks have mentioned that Jo-Ann’s has great sales on yarn so I popped in to see what I could find at my local store. Ohmy …
Patons ChaCha yarn was on sale for $1.49, regularly $4.99! I bought 7 balls -two each of black, white, and tango, and one ball of champagne (don’t know why I didn’t grab two).
I think each of these colors will make a beautiful scarf, but the tango is simply gorgeous. I’ll probably pair them with one strand of a regular worsted weight yarn in the same or complimentary color. I’ve never worked with the ‘furry’ yarn except to crochet around flip flops several years ago, so I’m anxious to see what it works up like.

When all was said and done, I came home much poorer than when I started out but I saved a good chunk of change while adding considerably to my stash. My grand total was $25.25, and the ChaCha alone would have cost $34.93 at the regular price – not bad!
I consider this my treat for being a good girl while getting my blood drawn – yarn is much better than a Dora the Explorer bandaid any day.
Love the yarn you got! You got a GREAT deal.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great deal! I am very jealous...
